Cains has acquired Westminster Crackers
February 19, 2001 - Tully & Holland, Inc. is pleased to announce its role as exclusive financial advisor to Cains Foods L.P., the New England based mayonnaise and condiment company, in its acquisition of Westminster Cracker Company. Westminster Cracker Company has been manufacturing cracker products since 1828. The company is best known for their New England oyster crackers.
About the client
Cains Foods, based in Ayer, Massachusetts, made shelf-stable mayonnaise, dressings and sauces under its own brands and for private label customers. The business traced its roots to a Boston cheese distributor founded by John E. Cain in 1914. Westminster Crackers was a Rutland, Vermont maker of oyster crackers sold mainly to restaurants.
