Tim is a seasoned investment banking professional with experience involving merger & acquisition advisory services and general management of a variety of consumer product companies. He has spent almost 20 years advising companies such as Procter & Gamble Co. and General Mills, Inc. and holding senior management positions with H.J. Heinz Company and RJR Nabisco, both here and abroad. He has held senior management positions in marketing, general management, and corporate development.
After training in corporate lending at Citibank, N.A., Tim began his marketing career at Dancer, Fitzgerald, & Sample Inc. in New York advising consumer product companies including, General Mills, Inc. and Procter & Gamble Co. In 1980, he joined Bristol-Myers Company as an executive with responsibility for multiple products in the health and beauty aid category.
In 1985, Tim joined the H.J. Heinz Company at their headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA. While at H.J. Heinz, Tim was affiliated with Heinz World Headquarters, as well as three divisions, including, Heinz USA, Heinz UFE, and Weight Watchers International He began his Heinz career at Heinz USA overseeing a $100 million portfolio of various shelf-stable food products. After two years, he joined Heinz World Headquarters Corporate Planning, where he was responsible for the evaluation of domestic acquisition proposals. During this time he also engineered the turnaround of an early-stage baby food joint venture at Heinz UFE in the People's Republic of China. In 1989, Tim transferred into a senior management position at Weight Watchers International. While there, he had domestic responsibility for the development and marketing of Weight Watchers International's various weight loss services generating revenues of $435 million.
In 1991, Tim joined RJR Nabisco as a senior marketing executive with responsibility for two refrigerated food business units totaling $410 million in sales. Tim's experience across multiple food and health and beauty aides categories has involved him in every aisle of the supermarket and has brought him into contact with many of the major chain drug stores and mass merchandisers.
In 1993, Tim joined Tully & Holland, Inc. as a Managing Director and Partner. He has represented clients in retail food, foodservice, foodservice equipment, sporting goods, giftware & souvenirs, women's apparel, and continuing education services, among other categories.
In 1999, Tim became the President of Tully & Holland, Inc.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Harvard College. He has attended the Aresty Institute of Executive Education at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Tim is a Director for the Harvard College Fund. He has served as a member of the Groton School Parents Committee and as a Trustee of the Portsmouth Abbey School Alumni Board.
