Russell Robb is a 20 year veteran in the mergers and acquisitions business, providing investment banking and corporate finance advisory services to a wide range of middle market companies. His transaction experience includes numerous companies in the consumer products industry, as well as a broad array of other manufacturing and distribution companies in various industry sectors. Russ is the past president and owner of two sporting goods manufacturing/retail companies. He is a published author of two business books and the former editor of a highly regarded monthly M&A industry newsletter. Russ joined Tully & Holland, Inc. as a Managing Director in October 2005.
In the past ten years, Russ has held positions as a Managing Director for Atlantic Management Company of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and as a Vice President of O’Connor Wright-Wyman Inc. of Boston, two leading firms in the middle market M&A business. His responsibilities included conducting merger and divesture programs from analysis, and planning through implementation and closing. Prior to that time, Russ was a principal of Benchmark Consulting Group, Inc., Boston, MA, a ten person consulting firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions. Prior to 1985, Russ was the owner and operator of a canoe and sailboat manufacturing company, Lincoln Fiberglass, Inc. and later a retail/distribution company, Quiet Sports. Russ began his career with Colonial Management, Boston, MA, a leading mutual fund company and American Express, Credit Card Division, New York, NY.
In addition to his business experience, Russ has authored two books published by Adams Media: Buying Your Own Business and Selling Your Business. His extensive knowledge and experience assisting clients with divestitures and acquisitions, as well as company valuations and due diligence allows for his continued writing as an editor of M&A Today, a national monthly industry newsletter, read by investment bankers and M& A professionals world-wide.
Russ served as president of the Boston Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), and as president of the 11,000 member Association for Corporate Growth International headquartered in Chicago. He is currently a director of The Hamilton Trust, the oldest investment club in the United States.
Russ attended the University of Pennsylvania Wharton Undergraduate School and served two years in the Marine Corps.
