Print Catalogs Still Rule, Survey Shows

If you think the print catalog is a dying channel, you better think again. Of 106 merchants polled by the Direct Marketing Association, 62% consider catalogs their primary sales channel. In contrast, only 20% cited the Web and 6% indicated retail.

Second-quarter sales at cataloger/retailer Delia’s increased 10.8%, to $58.1 million for the three months ended Aug. 2. The company's net loss for the quarter was $5.0 million, compared to a net loss of $5.1 million for the same period in 2007.

Paper Mills Starting to Assess Shipment Charges
