Don has over 20 years of investment banking and corporate finance consulting experience providing mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and capital markets financing advisory services to a broad range of private and public companies. As a result of his extensive transaction and engagement experience, Don has had the opportunity to work closely with both consumer and industrial market companies, including a diverse array of product designers, manufacturers, importers, retailers, wholesale distributors, and service providers.
In recent years, Don has represented and advised numerous mid-sized companies and management teams in connection with private sale, leveraged recapitalization, management buyout, and private placement growth financing transactions. Consequently, Don has gained substantial middle market experience in conducting due diligence, performing business valuations, writing offering memoranda, orchestrating confidential auctions, soliciting letters of intent, negotiating terms, and closing transactions.
Don joined Tully & Holland as a Managing Director in 2001. From 1999 to 2001, Don was a Manager in Ernst & Young’s Corporate Finance-Litigation Advisory Services consulting practice. Don was previously a Senior Consultant in KPMG’s Corporate Finance practice for four years, during which time the firm transferred him to Boston from New York. From 1992 to 1996, Don was a Financial Consultant with Merrill Lynch’s Private Client Group.
Don spent the preceding six years at UBS Securities, a wholly owned subsidiary of Union Bank of Switzerland, where he was an Assistant Vice President of Investment Banking. During his tenure with UBS, Don was selected for a one-year (1986) liaison assignment in London to manage US corporate Eurobond underwriting. From 1983 to 1985, Don was an Associate in the Corporate Finance department at Dean Witter Reynolds.
